Non-invasive blood pressure (NIBP) simulators are standalone vital signs simulators designed to simulate a variety of adult and paediatric blood pressure levels, pulse rates and heart rates. These instruments, often known simply as BP simulators allow biomedical engineers to accurately check blood pressure monitors and other multi-parameter patient monitoring devices for accuracy and safety on a regular basis.
Non invasive blood pressure simulation is one of the key elements in a biomedical engineer's tool kit with thousands of blood pressure measurements taken across the healthcare sector everyday it is of paramount importance blood pressure monitors and the simulators used to check them for accuracy are working within specified manufacturer parameters.
Calibrationhouse works closely with Seaward Group brand partner Rigel Medical and have been instrumental in the development and calibration of our legacy standalone BP simulator product, the Rigel BP-Sim along with more modern instruments such as the Rigel Uni-Sim and PatSim 200. This experience has led to extensive development of test procedures and equipment to ensure capabilities to calibrate NIBP simulators of any make or model are available to our broad customer base.
NIBP simulator calibration is offered with traceable to national standards calibration on all makes and models of device. The NIBP simulator calibration service is available either onsite at a customer's premises or via our rapid turnaround laboratory service.
