SPO2 simulators are standalone patient simulation devices that simulate blood oxygen saturation and heart rate.
SP02 simulators allow biomedical engineers to check the performance of patient monitoring pulse oximeter devices by mimicking the physiological vital signs recorded from a patient’s body by healthcare staff. Calibration of these devices is required periodically to ensure correct treatment and diagnosis can be made of medical conditions. Calibration is a more of a function check and involves comparison with another calibrated patient simulation device.
