Flash testers are also known as hipot, breakdown or dielectric breakdown testers, they are designed to perform tests that evaluate whether the insulation of electrical equipment or parts has sufficient strength to withstand the highest possible voltage of the system (otherwise known as the working voltage).
Calibrationhouse works closely with Seaward Group brand partner Clare Instruments, who with their HAL range of instruments are leading manufacturers of multifunctional flash testers. These range of testers include flash test facility up to 6kV and other test such as insulation resistance and earth bond, which are used extensively across the manufacturing sector.
Flash tester calibration because of the voltage involved requires significant knowledge and experience of test procedures. The Calibrationhouse team have many years of experience and modern test equipment allowing onsite calibration of flash testers to be an everyday service we offer. Flash tester calibration is also available at our Durham laboratory to the highest possible UKAS standards.
Seaward Group recommends a minimum period of 1 year between calibration of these devices.
Our team of expert technicians are on hand to help you with any queries you have about calibration, servicing or repair.
